It would be an obvious way, for instance, to create scenarios and use these for educational purposes, where you will have no problems regarding that not all students have the game etc. But it seems, that online play is an excellent way to make old Civ2 scenarios accesible to most people today, where they can be played without regard to platforms or local context. There are a number of sites, where one may play Civilization II online, for instance :įor obvious reasons these sites do not allow one to play scenarios, other than the two provided by the basic game.
